The Program Manager, Test Operations, is responsible for helping us achieve streamlined, high throughput Test across the company. On the Test Team at Beta Technologies, you will use your leadership and problem-solving skills to establish processes to forecast test needs, coordinate use and repair of a variety of aerospace test equipment and ensure smooth operation of the team. Test needs range from one-off research and development tests to extensively planned tests witnessed by the FAA for certification credit. An ideal candidate has the soft skills to keep the team moving forward, is willing to be hands-on when necessary, and has the drive and motivation to see things through to completion no matter the challenge.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation: - Collaborate with Program Managers across multiple departments to meet the overall test needs of the business
- Streamline existing test planning and reporting procedures and develop new processes to improve throughput and efficiency
- Visualize progress towards weekly, quarterly, and yearly goals
- Coordinate necessary repairs, maintenance, and calibration of equipment
- Act as a company representative during various certification credit tests, as needed
- Look out for your teammates and maintain a safe, positive, and efficient work environment
- Use all mandated safety equipment and complying with all safety requirements in accordance with company and government regulations and guidelines
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned
- Raise issues and risks with equipment or resources that will prevent achieving test goals
- Provide regular reports of throughput of test equipment, test types, etc.
- Generate and manage test metrics to ensure forward progress against test
- Responsible for resource allocation across the test team to ensure that adequate equipment and personnel are deployed to meet company needs
- Responsible for generating and maintaining a test schedule which meets company goals while reflecting state of resources
- Participates and provides inputs into test budget
- Works with test team to balance the needs of multiple programs with different goals
- Serves as a focal point to convey test needs and issues with other teams and vice versa. Communicates effectively with the wider company
- Works with test team to ensure constant improvement and expansion of capabilities
- Ensures that test equipment, facilities, & personnel are safe (safety is everyone’s responsibility)
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- 3-5 years of project or program management experience
- Proven track record of managing complex projects or programs from inception to completion, demonstrating strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead teams
- Excellent ability to be organized without predetermined structure
- Able to be a pragmatic and creative thinker when solving complex problem in a dynamic environment
- Willingness to be a team player and wear different hats on different days depending on the need
- Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management software (Microsoft Project, Jira, etc.)
- Familiar with: Microsoft Office product suite
Above & Beyond Qualifications:- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Experience coordinating or performing certification or verification testing
- Experience with DO-160 Test methodologies
- experience managing operations for a laboratory, or test house

$100,000 - $130,000 a year
The wage listed here reflects our best faith estimate for this role. We pay competitively and base compensation on a variety of factors including skills, experience, industry background, and the evolving needs of the role.
